This presentation discussed the development of an appropriate means to: 1) consult with people who had attempted suicide; 2) improve practices in responding to these people; & 3) establish networks for this group. “Co-research” was utilized in this project. 117 suicide attempters contacted the agency & responded to a questionnaire. Characteristics of the respondents, factors contributing to their suicide attempt(s) & treatment preferences were discussed.
