This article examines right-to-die issues, euthanasia, & physician-assisted suicide in Canada. Various cases from across Canada illustrate the broad range of opinions on these topics. The position of the Canadian Medical Association (against euthanasia) & the results of a Canada-wide survey of physicians are briefly outlined. Although assisted suicide is illegal in Canada it is believed by many, on both sides of the debate, that the practice is widespread across the country.
