The Empirical Study of Handwriting in Suicides: a Case Study in Light of Research Findings

Examines handwriting in an illustrated suicide note from a completed suicide then applies the findings from Cameron (1987) & Sedeyn (1982) to those observations. A comparison is made with 3 writing specimens from the same writer written 11 months, 5 months & 3 days prior to suicide. No interpretation of handwriting variables is made beyond the findings cited. Includes a review of literature, discussion on scientific vs popular graphology. The Cameron study is included in the appendix. (22 refs.)
