Continues a workshop report, held at the XIX Congress of the IASP, about health workers’ reactions to the suicidal death of a patient. Rural family doctors face high stress levels yet are often geographically isolated from support such as specialist counselors & psychiatrists. Proactive plans for support should include: a panel of specialist counselors & a confidential referral center that is continually available at no charge to the practitioner.
