Reports on a workshop, held at the XIX Congress of the IASP, about health workers’ reactions to the suicidal death of a patient. The needs of caregivers have been neglected & postvention needs action on different levels: at a team & institutional level & at an individual level. 5 health workers with different backgrounds gave a personal account of their own experiences. This account is from the perspective of the psychiatrist in private practice who learned denial of emotional reactions to cope.
