Zenere F J~~Lazarus P J
A 5 year longitudinal study of suicidal behavior of students attending Dade County Public Schools (DCPS), between 1989-90 & 1993-94 school years is described. The prevalence of suicidal behavior necessitated the development of a Suicide Prevention & School Crisis Management Program, including the creation of the Youth In Crisis Hotline. Evaluative data regarding the effectiveness of the program and implications for suicide prevention and intervention are discussed. (38 refs)
