In this review national strategies from 9 countries are discussed. Authors found that comprehensive strategies have been developed by Finland, Norway, Australia, New Zealand & Sweden. Specific national programs are particularly well-developed in The Netherlands & England. Target groups, implementing agencies, coherence of strategies, themes of intervention & school-based interventions are compared. There are some similarities in strategy content but evident differences in organization.
