The increased frequency of suicide among Inuit in the North is reviewed & compared with an analysis of public files on suicides in Greenland from 1977 through 1986. From these files a type of small-scale psychological autopsy is performed, & the material is analyzed in relation to theories of socialization & acculturation. (30 refs.)
