Framing the Physician-Assisted Suicide and Voluntary Active Euthanasia Debate: the Role of Deontology, Consequentialism, and Clinical Pragmatism

This paper examines a series of representative positions & offers a conceptual classification -or typology- in which to analyze & frame the arguements in the physician-assisted suicide debate. The concept of clinical pragmatism is introduced in order to foster a better understanding of this complex issue.
