This report is intended to inform & support the developement of Canadian firearms policy & programs by providing firearms-related information to law enforcement officials & policy makers. The study addressed the followinig issues; how many & what type of firearms do police recover, in what type of incidents are firearms recovered, how many firearms are directly & indirectly involved in incidents, how many firearms were registered, & the difficulties & limitations encounteredby the study.
