Suicide calls received by a crisis intervention centre were analyzed for temporal variations. The overall number of calls, calls concerning suicide ideation, & calls concerning third person suicide potential, varied by both month & by day of the week. Ideation calls & calls involving a suicide attempt varied by day of the month. Month & day of the week variation in third person calls parallelled variations in completed suicide. Fluctuations were used in scheduling crisis centre staff.
