A discussion of the case of Ellen West, a 33 year-old woman who suffered from depression & a severe eating disorder for 13 years. She was released from a Dutch sanitorium when her psychiatrist concluded she was incurable. As expected, she committed suicide by drug overdose. Two doctors comment on the problems of the case & what may have been done to prevent the suicide.
