National Confidential Inquiry Into Suicide and Homicide by People With Mental Illness

This national inquiry has been re-established at the University of Manchester with a new director & research team. This article details the changes, to familiarize psychiatrists, on whose cooperation the inquiry depends. The potential size of the suicide inquiry sample is over 1000 cases per year. The overall findings of the inquiry are expected to be published after two years of data collection.
