Suicide is more likely to be committed if a person displays some form of suicide ideation. A study was done on depressed outpatients on the relationship between suicide ideation and anger. The patients filled out questionnaires pertaining to suicide ideation, cynicism, and hostility. Significant differences were not found between patients with and without suicidal ideation. Studies of patients with severe suicide ideation/behaviour may create more conclusive results.
