This article describes the suicidal attempts of two HIV patients through ovedose on the HIV drug zidovudine. Reports indicate that the attempted overdose was unsuccesful, with no notable side effects from over-consumption. Both patients had previous histories of psychiatric disorders and previous suicide attempts. Patient One eventually completed suicide through another method – notably by hanging. This article discusses the apparant non-lethal effects of zidovudine and perscribed amounts.
