This paper, written by a lawyer, discusses the law and court decisions concerning physician assisted euthanasia in The Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the Australian Northern Territories. He repeats, in spite of several helpful decisions from the courts, that the basic principle remains firm: the criminal law does not countenance the taking of life, no matter how good the motive.
