Bobby Griffith, taught by both his family & his religion that being gay was wrong, chose to take his own life. As told through Bobby’s journal entries & his mother’s reminiscences, this book is the story of the journey that led Bobby to this conclusion. It is also the story of Bobby’s mother, a churchgoer who first prayed that her son would be healed, then anguished over his suicide, & ultimately became an activist for gay & lesbian youth.
