Details a study comparing effects of 2 nursing postventions on widowed survivors of suicide. Findings suggest that both groups had an overall reduction in depression & distress. Response differences between the two groups are described & statistical analysis is included. Although statistical significance was not achieved, survivors in both groups experienced decreases on the psychoemotional correlates of grief over the course of the postventions. Limitations of the study are noted. (LH)
