This study examined scores on the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory (MCMI), a personality inventory, to see how different personality characteristics interact with suicidality. The MCMI was admininstered to 257 US Army personnel who had a history of suicide attempts/suicide ideation. Two major personality clusters among the participants were evident: one characterized by poorly expressed negativity & antisocial tendencies, and the other showing greater depression & anxiety.
