The effectiveness of 3 treatments for severe chronic suicide ideation – group-problem solving (GPS), group social support (GSS) & group functional analysis (GFA) – were compared among 48 college students. Results showed that all 3 were effective in reducing suicide ideation. GSS was superior in the reduction of active suicide ideaton & GPS for improving problem-solving confidence.
