Prevention of Suicide: Guidelines for the Formulation and Implementation of National Strategies

This document provides guidelines for the formulation & implementation of comprehensive national strategies for the prevention of suicidal behaviour & the provision of support & rehabilitation services to persons at risk & to other affected persons. It reports on a meeting of Interregional Experts (1993) to develop the guidelines. The national strategy of Finland is outlined as an example of an integrated approach to identifying suicide prevention functions of all public & private institutions.
