Buda reviews Linehan’s book, Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder. This is a landmark volume for the understanding/managing of a sizeable group of people at serious risk for suicide/self-injury. Linehan’s approach is that borderline personality is one of the core pathologies of this group. Her successful therapy is called dialetical behavior therapy, which focuses on acceptance of behavior as it is at the moment, & immediate treatment of suicidal behavior.
