To be happy, we need some meaningful work to support ourselves & a secure place to live. Many people are threatened with the loss of these basic necessities. Opportunities to assist people in crisis because of occupational or housing loss crosses the social service & health care landscape. Helping people at these initial crisis points can make an enormous difference in the final outcomes of these transition states. Removing the socioeconomic roots of crisis, like homelessness, is urgent.
