A program model based on pre-suicidal behavior intervention is introduced. Many well-established suicide prevention programs will not meet the model’s criteria because they do not prescribe an intervention prior to the onset of suicidal behavior & they do not necessarily “put in” the antagonists to suicide. These antagonists include: rose-coloured glasses, strengthening behavior, cultural values & tradition, control over one’s environment, family, social skills, social support.
