On July 9, 1996, Rebecca Badger committed suicide with the assistance of Dr. Jack Kevorkian. It was believed that Badger suffered from multiple sclerosis but an autopsy showed no physical illness. This article reports on this case and the new doubts that have been raised about the ethics of assisted suicide.
