This article suggests that the reality of the world at the end of the 20th century is growing inequality and continuing injustice. The axes of inequality revolve around five elements (geneology, class, geography, gender, & generation) that present a complex picture to be sorted out on a case-by-case basis. The criminal & self-destructive activities of young men at both ends of the socioeconomic spectrum are discussed.
