Ethical Standards for Cross-Cultural Counseling: Counselor Preparation, Practice, Assessment, and Research

The purpose of this article is to propose ethical standards in the following 4 areas: 1) the training of culturally effective counsellors; 2) the provision of ethical & effective counselling to American minority, immigrant, refugee, & foreign student populations; 3) the selection & use of culturally appropriate assessment techniques; & 4) the conduct of culturally appropriate research.
