Review of Studies of Risk and Protective Factors for Psychopathology in Children

Child psychiatriy is increasingly focusing on the early identification of children at risk of psychopathology & the importance of prevention. This review attempts to summarize recent studies regarding risk & protective factors in children & address the areas of difficulty inherent in this type of research. Recommendations for future research study design are discussed. (47 refs.)
