This chapter opens with an overview of children & grief. The grief program at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota is then described. Each of the eight sessions of the Young Person’s Grief Support Program are discussed in detail. Various techniques, as they relate to children’s grief tasks, are demonstrated. 4 case examples, 3 involving the suicide of a family member, are used as illustration. (32 refs.)
