Davis A T
This chapter reports on patients admitted following a suicide attempt to the Royal Adelaide Hospital (Australia) over a 3-year period. Some of the results: 1) most of this cohort had a significant level of depression; 2) in a subgroup of 128 patients, there was a significant reduction in severity of depression, depression categories & diagnoses & symptomatology over 1 week following admission; & 3) in this subgroup, a number of variables predicted persistent depression over the week.
