This manual has five sections: 1) definitions of terms used in crisis intervention; 2) crisis management policies & procedures in 6 areas directly applicable to the school setting; 3) consideration of the legal issues that schools must address before implementing their policy; 4) guidelines outlining appropriate ways to deal with the media during a crisis; & 5) appendices that provide resources for further information, guidelines, sample forms & a bibliography.
