This article describes an Australian study published on male mental health. The report reveals that in adulthood, males & females have the same prevalence of mental illness, although in different areas – males have a higher rate of alcohol/drug abuse, & antisocial personality disorders than females. Males are 4 times more likely than women to commit suicide. Mental health factors associated with males include war, & divorce. Ways of improving male mental health include controlling firearms.
