Religious Nonaffiliation in Relation to Suicide, Murder, Rape, and Illegitimacy

A significant correlation for suicide rates in states with higher percentages of persons without religious affiliation was noted for 1990 census data; however, correlations were nonsignificant for murder, rape, & illegitimacy rates with religious nonaffiliation. (4 refs.)
