Abstract
Recklessness, Depression, and Reasons for Living in Predicting Suicidality in College Students
Roehrig H R~~Range L M
To assess the predictive value of recklessness in suicidality, 155 college students took the Sommerfeldt-Clark Adolescent Experience Scale, Zung Self-Rating Depression scale, Reasons for Living Inventory, & the Scale for Suicide Ideation. Results suggest that recklessness was not particularly associated with suicidality in this sample. The Suicidal Tendencies subscale of the Sommerfeldt-Clark scale predicted a significant amount of suicidality in these students. (11 refs.)
