This book is organized into 3 parts. Part 1 focuses on the innermost personal experiences of helping, such as emotional involvement in helping & helper secrets. Part 2 looks at the interpersonal dimensions of caregiving, focusing on the helping relationship & the communication skills that facilitate the caregiver’s role. Part 3 examines helping teams, support groups & society as a collective of caregivers, exploring the healing potentials & the barriers to caring that exist in each system.
