Black men are killing themselves in the prime of their lives. The pressure of unemployment can lead many black men to take their own lives. Despair & frustration caused by subtle racism is even affecting men who appear successful. A major factor in all suicide is depression & low self-esteem. Black males are among the most infrequent users of mental-health services. Local hospitals, church groups & other agencies must begin developing more prevention programs in the black community.
