The analyses in this report are based only on intentional & unintentional injuries serious enough to result in hospitalization or death. The first section is an overview of data for Alberta & discusses trends in mortality & morbidity, age/sex distributions, leading causes of injury & potential-years-of-life-lost. The next 17 sections contain analyses specific to residents of particular regional health authorities. 3 appendices provide ICD-9 E-codes, population figures & a glossary of terms.
