Initial Responders’ Guidelines for Suicide Postvention: a Resource for Caregivers and Human Service Professionals

This manual was written for Regina (Saskatchewan) caregivers who may assist people following a death by suicide. Section 1 is a quick reference to the background & rationale of the project. Section 2 outlines the guidelines in abbreviated form & Section 3 elaborates on how the guidelines function in day-to-day practice. The last section suggests future directions & provides recommendations for improvements to the current response system. Resources for caregivers & survivors are provided in 8 appendices.
