Camp Fire, Inc. Empowers Youth to Assist Peers

Camp Fire, Inc. sponsors the Teens in Action program which has been addressing youth suicide in the USA on both a community & national level. More than 60 Teens in Action campaigns have used a variety of methods & activities to promote suicide awareness. This article highlights the “Self Acceptance is Life” (SAIL) peer support program in Oklahoma which emphasizes active listening & caring. The objectives of SAIL are also outlined.
