Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide in Persons With Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) or Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)

This book reports on a study of views, attitudes, & experiences regarding euthanasia & HIV/AIDS. Data was gathered from persons with HIV/AIDS & persons who had been involved in AIDS-related euthanasia using semi-structured interviews. Although euthanasia is illegal in Canada, the data show it occurs with regularity in the AIDS population. Many euthanasia acts occurred in such appalling circumstances they may make a case for state regulation regarding voluntary euthanasia & assisted suicide.
