Urgent Messages: Teenage Suicide Prevention

This manual was designed as a counsellor/facilitator resource guide to accompany the 16mm film “Urgent Messages” in which two suicidal teenagers tell their own stories and classmates of a third, tell what it’s like to lose a friend. The film dispels myths & taboos surrounding teenage suicide. This manual includes a film transcript as well as valuable approaches to stimulate discussion, who to call – a list of services across Canada; what to say & do, & a list of popular myths & danger signals.
