Assessment for Crisis Intervention on College Campuses

This article presents a tool, the “Triage Assessment Form: Crisis Intervention”, for assessing the nature & severity of crises experienced by college students. This assessment builds on a 3-dimensional model for evaluating students’ affective responses, cognitive perceptions & behavioral coping to crisis situations. In addition, the form provides information on which domain to target treatment & the directness of treatment. 2 case vignettes are provided to demonstrate the utility of this method.
