A brief report is made on the second Internatinal Symposium of Bioethics in Eastern Europe, October 28-30, 1994. Papers were presented on issues concerning suicide, suicide prevention, euthanasia, & the role of psychiatrists & physicians in legal medicine. Many papers which attempted to understand the phenomenon of suicide within the context of Romanian society were included.
