This book review describes this book as wise & compassionate, & clearly written with well-chosen examples from life & literature. It provides an excellent summary of the danger signs of elderly suicide & a thoughtful discussion on the “right to die.” It argues that active euthanasia & physician-assisted suicide are an indictment of our society, & not the wave of the future. It discusses ageism & other prejudices, & how these contribute to the problems of aging & elderly suicide in particular.
