This book reports findings from a study started in 1988 involving 16 centres in 13 European countries. Parasuicide epidemiology at 11 of the centres is outlined. 2 chapters examine & analyze data from all centres noting rates, trends & sociodemographic characteristics. Because common instruments, definitions, & case finding criteria were used, this monitoring study provides valid data for comparisons. 5 chapters add information & explore implications for daily practice.
