Survey data are reported on the mental health status & professional help-seeking behaviour of 471 minority-group adolescents at a Los Angeles public high school. The sample’s mental health status was found to be similar to that of samples of non-minority backgrounds. Despite evident need for help, respondents indicated low utilization of services. Among those who did use professional help, school-based sources & medical personnel were used most often. (Note: no suicide content in this article.)
