The influence of feminism/religiosity on attitudes toward suicide was explored among national samples of 4,946 females & 4,475 men. 2 models are tested: 1) religiosity should have an impact on suicide ideology through lowering feminism; & 2) feminism should have a positive impact on suicide ideology through lowering religiosity. A LISREL analysis finds support for both models, but support is greatest for the first. (46 refs.)
