Participants in this study included: Kainai Nation, Tsuu Tina Nation, Stoney Nation, Siksika Nation, Lethbridge Urban Community, Calgary Urban Centre. This report does not include suicide data but discusses death as it affects the community. The study explores: 1) cultural definitions of family violence; 2) family violence in the context of societal structures; 3) how victims & perpetrators of family violence understood & coped with family & community stress; & 4) what resources people access.
