Reducing Suicide in NSW

Suicide has become the leading cause of injury related death in NSW. This edition of Injury Issues introduces the complexities inherent in understanding suicide & the goal of reducing or preventing suicide. It lists the warning signs for suicide, identifies those groups most at risk & who might benefit from early intervention. Finally, it discusses how communities can respond to someone who intends to commit suicide & community strategies which can be used to minimize suicide hazards. (15 refs.)
