In this presentation, Clark discussed six major pubic health & public policy issues that will face the American Association of Suicidology. For the remainder of his discussion, the problem of elderly suicide was addressed. In a model that is being developed, it is hypothesized that a large proportion of elderly persons who die by suicide have a lifelong character fault that may remain hidden until aging life-changes force aging issues into the open.
